Anti-meat comments by Texas Senate candidate James Talarico go viral
Talarico tells crowd he’s running a “non-meat” campaign.
James Talarico, running to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate as a Democrat, has a history of anti-meat statements. His comments from 2022, where Talarico was speaking a fundraiser for anti-animal abuse laws, are now making the rounds on X.
“We have heard, I think heard more and more, issues of animal welfare. I think, not just because it’s the right thing to do, and it’s the moral thing to do, but also…necessary to fight climate change. It is now existential that we try to reduce our meat consumption, and that we try to respect animals in all aspects of society,” said Talarico.
The Senate candidate, who is masked, goes on to say he is running a “non-meat campaign.”
“So, I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become a non-meat campaign. So, we are only buying vegan products from our local vegan businesses,” he tells the crowd. “And so, the point is, I think all of us—not just policymakers, but everyone—has to take personal responsibility in this effort.”
Texas is the largest beef producing state in the union. It has the biggest cattle population in the U.S.—beef cattle are raised in all 254 counties. Beef is the state’s number one agricultural output, supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs.

I absolutely cannot stand a politician!
I say we get rid of all the politicians.
They are the biggest threat to our climate , humans and animals!!!
