Behind the scenes at the White House dinner for farmers & ranchers, the USDA "big beautiful breakfast," and more as America kicks off its 250th birthday by honoring the men and women who feed us.
Thursday, President Donald Trump hosted farmers and ranchers from across the country in a Rose Garden Club dinner honoring agriculture—a national first. On Friday, Secretary Brooke Rollins at the U.S. Department of Agriculture welcomed hundreds of farm and ranch families, leaders, media figures, and FFA/4-H kids to USDA headquarters where seven cabinet members gathered early on a weekday to speak with them.
This was my first work trip since having my baby in December, and I’m taking you along for this fitting kickoff to America’s 250th birthday week. It’s only right that the nation started its semiquincentennial celebration by honoring the men and women who feed it.
