FERC requests public comments on Potter Valley Project
Weigh in on the future of Lake Pillsbury and North Coast water supply.
The public has a chance to weigh in on the future of the Potter Valley Project.
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) sent their final dam surrender plan to the federal government in July. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is now considering that plan.
FERC opened their public comment period. The comment period will close December 1, 2025 (5 pm EST).

How to file comments with FERC:
1. Click here to access FERC Online.
2. Enter your information. Click “Authorize.”
3. You’ll receive a link via email. Click that link.
4. Enter docket number P-77-332. Click “Search.”
5. Select the blue + symbol next to the Potter Valley Project docket.
6. Enter your comments (TIP: Write your comments in a Word doc or other text file first, then copy and paste your comments into the text box).
7. Click “Send Comment.”
