Voting is a duty for followers of Jesus because it is a practical act of caring for our family, loving our neighbors, and being salt and light in the world.
Thank you for the beautifully written reminder. Now, if I may remind those of us born to the Sword of Righteous Truth, that the Lord Jesus took time and used His carpenter skills to craft a whip.
And then He used it. On the Thieves and Money-changers occupying the House of the Lord.
This land is the ultimate House of Creator God, because He made it and gave it to us to Steward for all of His creatures that we may all prosper. Those who serve Evil serve the Self, and are incapable of Stewardship. Look at these Dark times for what they are - an Honor given to those of us who See what is going on and accept this difficult assignment in Humility and Gratitude.
When I walk in my beautiful woods and see the demonic destruction of the Beauty and Harmony given to all of us - the dusty creek beds, whole ecosystems in decline, trees dropping needles like tears for want of water, I used to shout at Heaven in anger that what is so easy to See, no one sees.
Now? Apparently the great Heavenly Host has trusted me and others like me the task of staying the course, of proclaiming the Truth even when few are listening. The Lord Jesus Himself named us Sons and Daughters of God, and is this an easy assignment? Never has been.
Double down. Stand tall in the Lord's Shield Wall. Because this War of the Ages is not done and the Devil is in the House.
Keely, this is so, so, so wonderful!
What a masterful (eh. Master-filled) meditation.
The Truth is what motivates us. And the Truth sets us free.
Well done, sister.
Amen
