The Monster in Melides
Stopping for lunch in small town Portugal.
Carlos steps out the door of his restaurant, onto the Melides street. He has wild grey hair, long arms.
“Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, English?”
“English if you’ve got it.”
Carlos explains his menu in English. “I’m here if you need me.” He disappears inside.
