When I was a kid, the ban on coyote depredation destroyed the sheep industry in Mendocino County. Now, it's not just coyotes, it's lions. "They" say there are only 5,000 lions in California..., but if that is true, they are all in Mendocino County.

To me a pack of coyotes howling in the night is one of the creepiest sounds ever.

I've had them near my apartment since 2018. Hurricane Ida wiped out some, but they came back. We'd even see one sometimes during the day. Hungry and hunting.

We moved a couple of years ago. 100 miles away. I have a pack here at the new place.

Protect the pets and children. A pack will gang up to attack pets and humans.

This new law is a very fucked up idea. Especially if there is a homeless population living on the streets.

Love, hugs, and PERSEVERE yall!

I kinda like coyotes one-on-one, but they kill farm animals. Wild dogs are even worse than coyotes for killing sheep. The farmers and ranchers around Healdsburg eventually gave up on raising sheep around here.

Coyotes also kill cats and small dogs. I'm kinda ambivalent about that. I've had coyotes in my yard here in Healdsburg. They are usually adolescent coyotes and starving. They tried to dig up our dead cat's grave and ate a bag of fertilizer. The coyotes were hungry.

All the “proof of harm” should be trailered straight to the bureaucrat’s office and left there.

County Sheriff could rule that in their county, Fish and Game rules concerning predators don’t apply.
