The callous willingness to destroy peoples livelihood and quality of life by the California government (through its PG&E captive) and environmental groups is appalling. It is driven by people who have never had to dig a ditch and who expect/demand water to come out of their tap every day without thought or effort. Pathetic.

Water diversion and storage during periods of high rainfall has consistently been a hallmark of successful ancient civilizations.

Into the effort, use some “new thinking.” PG&E think they are the only game in town. Aided and abetted by a corrupt state government and no watching the store federally, PG&E is a poster he/she/they/them rainbow coalition, that is in the main one of the lousiest poor run and managed investor own quasi public utility in the USA and that include HICO in Hawaii. So use their weight against them. You have 700 “interveners” offer to take the two hydro projects and the electrical service territory currently being served by PG&G if that is whom is handling the territory and start your own utility. It would be owned and managed like a municipality, and not without complications but better that what you have now. The “interveners” want to check in with the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) which is a federal manager of the electrical grid for 11 western states. How “NEWCO” handles the water rights and so forth will need to be ironed. But the local community has a huge stake in the outcome. Come with a plan the Fed’s can’t say “NO” to and tell Sacramento to pound sand. Good luck! Keep fighting!!
